Under the condition of stable voltage and current, the factors affecting the cutting quality, in addition to the quality of the electrode and the nozzle itself, mainly have two reasons: one is the height and stability of the cutting nozzle; the other is the matching of the cutting speed and the working pressure.

When the cutting nozzle is controlled by the arc pressure height adjuster, the dynamic positioning accuracy can reach 0.013mm, so the height of the cutting nozzle and the steel plate can be kept unchanged, so the inclination of the cutting surface is small and uniform. And the finish is good. When manually adjusting the height of the cutting nozzle from the steel plate, the steel plate to be cut should be leveled as much as possible to reduce the number of adjustments of the torch and ensure the stability during the cutting process of the torch. In this paper, the height of the cutting nozzle from the steel plate is controlled at 68mm by manual adjustment. 2 Test method The test equipment is one of four different air plasma cutting machines of Nanhua University Blu-ray Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd., each with 6 sets of electrodes and nozzles.

The torches of the four air plasma cutting machines are mounted on the cutting cart of the CNC cutting machine in order. Each type of air plasma cutting machine has to complete the entire process of all tests separately, that is, using different cutting speeds and using different air pressures to cut A3 steel plates of different thicknesses (cooled with tap water). Cutting is performed from low pressure to high pressure, and from low speed to high speed. The air pressure is regulated by a filter control valve and the cutting speed is controlled by a CNC cutter. The cutting parts are square parts of 100mm>400mm.

3 Test results and analysis The test results of cutting two different thickness steel plates of 6 mm and 10 mm by LG-100K air plasma cutting machine are shown in Table 1. Especially when cutting a right-angled part, the bottom at the corner is slit into a circular arc instead of a right angle. If the cutting speed is too low and the air pressure is too high, the slag is slag. Severe, difficult to remove, poor finish. If the cutting speed is right, the working pressure is too high, the stiffness and smoothness of the arc column are damaged, the cutting ability is reduced, and the cutting smoothness is poor. Therefore, it is necessary to cut the steel plates of different thicknesses reasonably. Choose different cutting power, cutting speed and working pressure, in order to get the best cutting results.

It can also be seen from the data in Table 1 that different steel plate thicknesses have different optimum cutting speeds and working pressures. Based on the test data of four different models, we analyzed the best cutting speed and working pressure parameters of different thickness steel plates with different power plasma cutters, as shown.

According to the test results of four different power models, the optimal cutting parameters of different power cutting machines for cutting different thickness steel plates are shown in Table 2. According to these data, we have actually applied cutting in some manufacturers, the effect is very good, and the cutting quality is greatly improved.
