Floor heating FAQ

1. Will warm water leak?

Theoretically speaking, PEX pipes can withstand 25 kilograms at a water temperature of 80°C, and under this condition, they can continuously maintain for 53 years without dripping, seepage, leakage, and explosion (confirmed by China National Testing Center for Chemical Building Materials). The floor heating water temperature and water pressure only 40 °C - 60 °C and 1.5 kg, far below the 80 °C water temperature 25 kg pressure rating conditions.

From the point of view of construction technology, there are no joints in the pipeline below the floor, eliminating the hidden dangers of joint leakage.

From the acceptance process, before the system is used and delivered, a system pressure test of about 6 kg is performed, which can further detect the degree of sealing of the entire system.

In fact, in the tens of millions of households in dozens of countries, there is no case of pipeline quality problems.

2. Will the floor be deformed?

A: It can't be generalized. The surface temperature of floor heating is generally around 28°C. In fact, the summer indoor temperature in East China is mostly above 25°C. Theoretically speaking, most floors have no problem. However, for the sake of safety and heat transfer performance, it is recommended that users use factory-provided floor tiles, stone flooring, high-grade PVC flooring, carpets, and floor heating for multi-layered solid wood and laminate flooring.

3. Is the operating cost high?

A: The specific heat load, external heat and internal heat of each house will be different, and the overall performance of insulation materials and reflective materials and hot water pipes will be different, and the rationality of heat load calculation will be different. Greatly affect the operating costs of heating. Through the scientific design and use of standard materials, users in the Shanghai area are around 0.15-0.25 yuan/day (gas or gas). If the design is unreasonable or the use of low-standard materials will reduce the purchase cost, it will greatly increase the operating costs.

4. Use electricity? Use gas? The stove is very small?

A: The water heater has a power furnace and a gas source furnace (natural gas and gas). Considering energy conservation, gas furnaces are better, but electric water heaters are more environmentally friendly. According to the water supply method and the size of the volume can be divided into: the heat boiler and positive displacement water heater.

Wall-hung boiler: small size, can be hung in the kitchen, there are two separate hot water systems for bathing and heating, hot water temperature can be up to 80 °C or more, there is a built-in pump, direct connection radiator and floor heating system, power is larger, but When multiple taps are used at the same time, mutual interference may occur.

Volumetric water heater: large volume, the maximum water temperature is generally 60 °C -70 °C, no built-in circulation pump, generally can not be used for radiator heating, but the water is relatively abundant, you can use more water, but less power.

5. Do you need to open air conditioners in winter? How many degrees can indoor reach?

A: No air conditioning is needed. Floor heating is by far the most advanced professional heating system. No matter whether it is in terms of comfort or energy saving, air-conditioning heating cannot be compared with it. The longest ideal temperatures for the human head and feet are 18°C and 28°C, respectively. Floor heating can easily meet these two requirements at the same time, while other heating methods are difficult to achieve.

6. Is it possible to control the room? Can the temperature be adjusted?

Answer: It can be controlled by shunting, and it can be adjusted by time. It can realize the temperature setting on working days and non-working days, during the day and night, and at different times of the day.
