In this case, the induced voltage exists between the metal shield and ground, and the induced voltage is proportional to the length of the cable. , but no circulation through. This grounding method is only suitable for short length lines, that is to say the induced voltage corresponding to the cable length cannot exceed the safe voltage. The double-end grounding is to connect the two ends of the metal shield directly to ground. In this case, the circulation current in the metal shield layer will reduce the cable current-carrying capacity.

We need to pay attention to several issues when selecting high-voltage cross-linked cables or designing high-voltage lines:

(1) From the economic point of view, aluminum conductors should be used instead of copper conductors;

(2) The lead sheath or wrinkle aluminum sheath should be preferentially used when selecting the metal sheath of the cable;

(3) Choose PVC outer sheath for the occasion with high flame retardant requirements, and use polyethylene sheath for occasions where moisture-proof, moisture-proof and corrosion-proof requirements are strict and the insulation resistance of the sheath to the ground is high;

(4) Considering the current-carrying capacity, the metal shielding single-end grounding and parallel arrangement is the best solution.

(5) The thermal performance of the cable attachment should be considered in the high-voltage cross-linked cable line.
