Through engineering practice, the State Grid Research Institute has proposed 7 technical standards systems for 77 UHV AC transmission standards, revised 1 national standard, issued 15 national standards and 73 corporate standards, and has received 431 patents ( It has been authorized 237) and established China's leading position in the field of UHV transmission technology research, equipment manufacturing, engineering design, construction and operation.

At the same time, the national grid is also pushing its UHV related standards to the international effort. Liu Zhenya, general manager of the State Grid, said that the State Grid has now compiled four international standards, including UHV AC voltage standards.

Analysts said that the State Grid released and revised some national standards for UHV, which will have a major impact on domestic power equipment manufacturers. With the planned construction of UHV lines in succession, the relevant equipment market will usher in expansion. , And equipment manufacturers need to follow the adjustment of UHV technology.

The "12th Five-Year Plan" period is an important stage for the development of China's UHV power grid. It is estimated that by 2020, the scale of hydropower development and transport in the southwest will reach 60 million kilowatts. Cao Guangjing said that in the future, the Three Gorges Group will continue to develop several Xiangjiaba and Xiluodu hydropower stations in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Therefore, the construction of large-capacity, long-distance, and low-loss UHV transmission lines is an inevitable choice for securing hydropower output.
