Structure and operation of three-legged centrifuge
The three-legged centrifuge is a commonly used manual unloading batch centrifuge, and its structure is shown in Figure 3-29. The main components of the centrifuge are a basket of drums with a number of small holes in the wall and a wire mesh and filter cloth on the inner wall. The entire base and cover are suspended from the three-legged strut by three tie rod springs to reduce vibration during operation. After the feed liquid is added to the drum, the filtrate is discharged through the drum at the lower part of the machine base, and the filter residue is deposited on the inner wall of the drum, and the amount of the residue in the drum is filtered after the batch of liquid is filtered. If necessary, it can also be washed with water on the surface of the filter cake, then parked and unloaded to clean the equipment.
The diameter of the drum of the three-legged centrifuge is generally large, the rotation speed is not high (<2000r/min), and the filtration area is about 0.6~2.7m2. Compared with other types of centrifuges, it has the advantages of simple structure, flexible operation cycle, etc. It can be used for the treatment of small batch materials in batch production, especially for filtration and dehydration of various salt crystals. Less damaged. Its shortcoming is that the working conditions at the time of unloading are poor, and the rotating parts are located at the lower part of the machine base, which is inconvenient for inspection and maintenance.
