To this end, JUNKER's developers have taken the lead (in early 2001) to implement an OPC-server that can incorporate grinding-specific cycles into an intelligent operator interface for performing control functions. The server can be called by the OPC-Client of the ProTool/Pro system software so that NC-data can also be processed. The advantage of this design is that there is already an OPC-server in the standard configuration of the Sinumerik 840D system used in many machine types.
