2010 KBA's Latest Technology Tour Seminar

On the morning of October 11, 2010, the Koenig & Bauer Group Technology Tour Seminar was held at the Royal View Royal Hotel Beijing. Ms. Wang Youhua, Vice President of China Packaging Federation, Mr. Wang Lianxiong, Marketing Director of Greater China, KBA, Mr. Juergen Veil, Director of Leaflet Marketing, KBA, Germany, and representatives from numerous printing companies from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, etc. This event. The KBA Technology Seminar has been successfully held in China for three sessions. This is its “fourth trip to China” and the KBA’s technical seminar has become an annual printing industry event. The seminar focused on the theme of “Green Innovation-Gaobao New Technology”. The technical center of our company sent representatives to participate in this technical exchange.

First of all, Mr. Wang Lianjun, Marketing Director of Greater China, Germany KBA, opened the meeting. In his speech, Mr. Wang pointed out that KBA has always maintained communication and cooperation with customers through different channels. After the financial crisis that engulfed the world, China Printing has not only failed to show signs of depression, but has displayed a rare vitality and vitality. The Chinese printing industry today has the latest technology that it has not been able to imagine in the past decade or so. In the face of the financial crisis, some companies have disappeared, and some companies have boldly purchased personalized equipment and upgraded them on a large scale. Compared with before the crisis, KBA users become more powerful. In the past two years, KBA has gained more user recognition, and the number of new customers in Greater China ranks first in the global market. Director Wang said that Gaobao Greater China will strengthen its relationship with customers in the future and better serve its customers.

Afterwards, Mr. Juergen Veil, director of leaflet marketing at KBA, Germany, gave a detailed and vivid explanation on the topic of green printing. “The topic of green printing is a global hotspot, but what does that mean behind it? Simply speaking, it can be understood as saving energy. But this is only a part of it. Our philosophy is not just to save energy but also to reduce emissions more and reduce scrap. And to reduce waste,” Mr. Juergen Veil opened the paper to clarify the core content of the seminar. Mr. Veil first used a Rapida 106 sheet-fed offset press to measure energy consumption in various parts of the press during energy production during actual production. Energy-saving emission reduction and environmental protection green printing technology are introduced in detail: no alcohol printing, ink fast cleaning system, energy-saving drying system.

Mr. Juergen Veil pointed out that KBA equipment provides users with sufficient benefits in design. Its DensiTronic PDF and Quali Tronic color control devices can automatically scan printed products and automatically detect them with a PDF template, effectively increasing production efficiency and reducing scrap rates. KBA's transmission equipment is an independent transmission system that is more intelligent and energy-efficient. After comparison tests with traditional printing equipment, KBA's advanced printing equipment is nearly 53% more energy efficient than general printing equipment. Finally, Mr. Juergen Veil introduced and discussed security printing, trademark protection and new technology applications.

After the meeting, delegates went to Lotte Packaging (Beijing) Co., Ltd. for a visit. Lotte Packaging products are mainly based on the Lotte Group's food packaging, and provide packaging for food and medicine. In April of this year, the newly introduced KBA Rapida 105-6+L six-color plus optical offset press is newly introduced. Its equipment is designed to print 13,000 sheets/hour of paper with a width of 700×850mm. Capacity is 16,000 sheets/hour.

During the visit, we specially consulted and communicated with Mr. Juergen Veil and King Rock Engineers of Gaobao Beijing Branch about the thin-plate printing technology in the DR material project of the R&D center, together with Baoying 6-color printing press. They were very interested in our company's DR sheet printing test and stated that if necessary, they would fully cooperate with us in solving the difficulties encountered in printing.

After the visit, the first station of the KBA Technology Tour 2010 was successfully completed.
