The carbon dioxide in the greenhouse is mainly derived from the decomposition of organic fertilizer in the soil. After the organic fertilizer is applied to the soil, the carbon dioxide release period is about 10 to 50 days after fertilization. A large amount of application of base fertilizer not only causes the phenomenon of burning, but also the amount of carbon dioxide released is very small due to the early growth of the crop, and most of it is wasted. After entering the results period, the required carbon dioxide has increased. In this period, the carbon dioxide release period in the soil has passed, and the supply of carbon dioxide is insufficient, which restricts the performance of photosynthesis and affects the increase of production.
Therefore, the amount of base fertilizer should not be too much, generally 2500 ~ 3000 kg per base of fertilizer. A large amount of organic fertilizer should be applied in stages after flowering to provide a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide for crop photosynthesis.
